About the Role
As a Field Technician, you'll be on the front lines of expanding our earthquake detection network. You'll travel to various locations to install, maintain, and troubleshoot seismic sensors, ensuring they operate reliably to protect communities.
This hands-on role combines technical skills with problem-solving in the field, offering variety and the satisfaction of directly contributing to public safety.
Responsibilities
- Install seismic sensors in diverse environments (buildings, outdoor locations)
- Perform site surveys to determine optimal sensor placement
- Configure network connectivity and ensure data transmission
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of deployed sensors
- Document installation procedures and maintain deployment records
- Train local partners on basic sensor maintenance
Requirements
- Technical diploma or equivalent experience in electronics/telecommunications
- Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel frequently
- Physical ability to work in various environments and conditions
- Excellent communication skills in English and local language
Nice to Have
- Experience with IoT device deployment
- Knowledge of construction and building systems
- Certification in network installation (e.g., CCNA)
- Experience with GPS and mapping tools
